Scottish X Factor auditions to be re-run

23 06 2009
Scotland have to do it all again!

Scotland have to do it all again!

Just two weeks ago, X Factor hopefuls nervously auditioned before judges Simon, Louis, Cheryl and Dannii for a coveted place in this year’s X Factor line-up, however, due to the recent decision to film all auditions in front of a live audience, they’ve now got to repeat their performances.

An X Factor source told The Sun newspaper, “We are still fine-tuning our plans, but we aim to be back up in Scotland at the end of next month… “We are working out how we are going to do it, but it does look like everyone who auditioned will come and audition again. It’s all part of our bid to make the X Factor bigger and better than ever.” However, the re-auditioning of the hopefuls in Glasgow could push the show over its budget, despite a recent cash injection from TalkbackThames and Syco – both of whom are responsible for the show – of a reported £6 million. The first of the new format auditions will take place today in London in preparation for the show going to air in August.
