Over a number of months our team of videographers, photographers and events managers will be travelling around the UK and auditioning participants.

The project is based on three categories 6-11, 11-18, 18+

The first rehearsal went very well, and the members hit it off straight away.

They rehearsed two original tracks, written by Dylan Charles.

Photoshoots, cover recordings, video’s, original writing and recording, performing all over the UK. Beth has competed in many competitions too, including Open Mic UK, and Stars of the Future, Sheffield, in which she came first.

Plans for this year include more original song writing with Power Studios, London, entering many more competitions, and hopefully completing her first album.

If you had 100 acres of stunning rural parkland, a renowned strawberry farm and a bunch of like-minded friends, what would you do? CORRECT! Hold one of the countries, nay the world’s most enjoyable festivals…

Strawberry Fields Festival started in 2010 and quickly won a place in the hearts of any lucky enough to attend. 2011 saw the expanded event headlined by Kelis, Mystery Jets, Rizzle Kicks, The Rifles, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and a whole host of other sonic supremos. The line up in 2012 is going to be just as impressive again, so impressive in fact that we at SupaJam wanted to get involved!

So now, we’re proud to present our Fast Track to Strawberry Fields Festival!

If you and your band want a chance to play at the 2012 event, taking place on 10 – 12th August , then you’ve got from December 12th til March 6th to get busy. You can upload one or two tracks, your bestest photos, a sparkling biography and even a snatch of video to our competition page.

On March 6th the tracks will become visible to the public, who will commence feverishly voting for the music that rocks their world. On March 30th the voting stops. We then take the 18 most popular acts and stick em in a live arena, turn the amps up to 11 (or quiet the audience to an anticipatory hush if that’s more your bag) and let the bands battle it out in front of our crack music industry judges. The victorious band will be hoisted aloft, triumphant! (possibly not literally, unless they are very, very small)

Come August they’ll be packed off to play the main stage at Strawberry Fields, with all the media attention and general rampant adulation that entails. Sound good? Well get recording and get entering—HERE’S WHERE YOU START

Goole singer to hit the charts!

Jess Simpson working with Ed Sheeran’s producer

 Jess, from Kellington, who currently attends Sherburn High School, has just been offered a 5 track development deal with a top London producer. The producer, of Powerstudios works with Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith and Plan B.

Jess says ‘When I was younger I often used to sing and dance around my room to karaoke tracks from, however when I reached the age of 11 I decided to take things a little more seriously, as my friends and family thought I had something special.

In 2011 and when I entered the Open Mic UK competition.  I found myself in the national finals that took place at the indigo O2 in London. It was amazing, working with professionals and being backstage with others that had the same goals and dream as I had it was simply, where I want to be!

Coming 5th out of my category in the UK was something me and my family were incredibly proud of and I will never forget my journey through Open Mic.

A month or so over Georgina Hill-Brown (from Vocaltutor Artist Development) contacted me via Facebook & YouTube and said I had a very distinctive voice and would like to meet me to discuss my future. After meeting with her and my parents she offered me a contract, a management contract with her herself. My parents and I thought this was an amazing opportunity and could be the boost I need to develop me as an artist.

After accepting the contract Georgina has been fantastic, starting with sorting all my online promotion Inc. all my social media sites (Facebook, reverb, fan pages etc.) gaining many more fans and hits to my videos, to being there for me and giving me all the help and support I need. It’s been a crazy first month however I’ve loved working with her. Then about 2 weeks ago I got a phone call from Georgina inviting me to audition at Power Studios, in Chelsea, London for Ed Sheeran. Paloma Faith’s and Plan B’s Producer.  Georgina has been working closely with the studio, and after listening to my tracks, the producer wanted to meet me. Having been for the audition I have been offered a 5 track recording programme and can’t believe it! At that level it is incredibly difficult to even be seen, and I have been offered a great opportunity. I can’t wait to get started!!’
